Abstract: Ten10 Racing is set to become the first Indian motorcycle racing team to be part of an international race, the MotoGP.

Article:

Bangalore based Ten10 Racing will be a part of the MotoGP circuit from next season, becoming the first Indian team to take part in the highly competitive championship. Ten10 Racing has joined hands with Italian squad WTR, which competes in both Moto2 and 125cc class, for the next three years. The new team, called WTR Ten10 Racing, will participate in the 125cc class from 2011 season onwards. The bigger news however is that for the first time an Indian rider, Sarath Kumar, will be a part of the regular lineup in MotoGP and not as a wild card entry.

Ten10 Racing came into being in 2009 and has seen a lot of success in the two seasons of racing in the National Motorcycle Road Racing Championship. Sarath too has blossomed since joining the team and currently holds a lap record at the MMSC Track outside Chennai for an Indian Production Motorcycle.

Sarath will race a two-stroke Aprillia 12 next year and from 2012 onwards will race the Moto3, when the new bike debuts.
