Article:
After dominating the last round of the national motorcycle racing championship, Ten10 racing's Sarath Kumar has 85.5 points and six back-to-back wins to his credit. But, above all, he is the 2010 Group B expert class champion. Also, if all goes well, Sarath will be the first Indian to race in MotoGP this year in the 125 cc class!
The last round of the national racing championship held at the Chennai racetrack between December 3 and 5 also marked the end of two-stroke motorcycle racing in India. P Deva Kumar became the last ever Group B two-stroke champion with eight race wins and 80 points. K Rajini effortlessly won both the races in Group A to win the 2010 championship with eight race wins and 80 points. A Prabhu won the Group D intermediate class championship with six race wins and 78 points and K Prakash became the Group D novice champion with seven wins over the season and a tally of 70 points. The 2011 season may start in February itself to avoid the rain during the last months of the year. The classes in the championship will also be re-designed to accommodate the omission of the two-strokes.
