India's debut in MotoGP

Yes, it is true. An Indian team which will participate in the pinnacle of motorcycle racing - MotoGP. Come 2011 and this Bangalore based team will be seen in the MotoGP paddock along with an Indian rider. The news about TEN10 Racing participating in MotoGP was already out. However, the team made it official at a press conference held in Mumbai. For this TEN10 Racing has teamed up with WTR Racing, a San Marino based team already present in the 125cc and Moto 2 classes of MotoGP.
This new alliance between TEN10 and WTR has brought into being a new team, which will be called WTR TEN10 Racing and will be seen in the 125cc class and one of them is Indian chap Sarath Kumar has been chosen to represent TEN10 whereas an Italian rider will also be a member of the rider line-up. Sarath is not new to motorcycle racing as he has been participating and performing exceptionally well in the national championships and has set the fastest lap record on a bike manufactured in India at the Madras Motorsport Race Track in Chennai. With these credentials Sarath has earned a place for himself in the team and thus will be representing India on such a huge level.
The alliance between TEN10 Racing and WTR will help TEN10 to understand the technicalities involved in developing a world-class racing bike in order to build better bikes for domestic as well as international racing. At the press conference Ten10 Racing team principal Ramji Govindarajan said that this alliance would also help them develop an all Indian team for MotoGP by 2014.
